The brand
Le Coultre, now known as Jaeger-LeCoultre, was founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre in Switzerland. It gained a reputation for precision watchmaking and innovation, notably creating the first keyless watch movement in 1847. Over time, the brand collaborated with high-end watchmaking houses like Cartier and launched its own iconic models such as the Reverso in 1931, known for its flip-over case. Jaeger-LeCoultre also contributed to the development of complicated movements, including the minute repeater and tourbillon. Today, it remains a leading luxury watchmaker, celebrated for its craftsmanship, technical expertise, and timeless designs.
