This is exactly the kind of Constellation that makes me love vintage Omega.

The early 2782-3 is already a fantastic reference, but finding one with a black waffle dial like this is something else. The deep black textured dial, applied gold arrowhead markers and matching hands look fantastic against the gold-capped case. It has a presence that the more common silver-dial examples simply don't have.

And then there is the movement: the legendary Omega calibre 354 bumper automatic. One of Omega's great movements and a defining part of these early Constellations.

With a 35mm case and dating to around 1954, this is a beautiful example of Omega during its golden era of design and watchmaking.

The serial number is 13963XXX, placing it firmly in the period.

A very uncommon and seriously attractive Constellation. One for the Omega collector who wants something a little different from the usual silver waffle dial.
