A beautiful example of the Omega Seamaster Date Jumbo, reference 166.011, featuring the generously proportioned 36 mm case that gives this model its distinctive presence on the wrist. Compared with the more compact Seamaster references of the period, the Jumbo case has a noticeably stronger and more contemporary appearance while retaining the elegant design language of 1960s Omega.

This example features a beautifully clean silver sunburst dial, with applied baton markers and elegant black hands. The polished markers catch the light beautifully against the brushed silver surface, while the classic Seamaster script adds a subtle touch of vintage character. The date aperture at 3 o’clock is framed with a polished surround and gives the watch a practical everyday function.

The reference 166.011 is particularly interesting for collectors because of its larger case proportions. The combination of the 36 mm diameter, slim profile and beautifully shaped lugs makes it wear exceptionally well, even by modern standards.
