SKU: 1578
An increasingly collectible transitional diver, the Omega Seamaster 200 “Pre-Bond” ref. 396.1062 represents the bridge between the tool-watch utility of the 1980s and the modern Seamaster Professional era launched in the 1990s. With its slim profile and timeless proportions, it remains one of the most wearable vintage Omega divers.
For sale is an Omega Seamaster 200 “Pre-Bond” ref. 396.1062, serial SR51771444, dating to 1989.
Introduced in the late 1980s, the Pre-Bond Seamaster 200 was Omega’s flagship diver prior to the arrival of the Seamaster Professional 300M in 1993. The 396.1062 variant — stainless steel with quartz movement — delivers a purposeful, understated design with its scalloped bezel, integrated bracelet, and clear, legible dial.
This example features the black dial with luminous markers and hands, framed by the unidirectional bezel, with a date window at 3 o’clock. The 38mm stainless steel case wears comfortably and maintains strong geometry.
Inside beats the Omega caliber 1438 quartz movement, a Swiss-made caliber prized for its accuracy, durability, and ease of service.
