Rolex Datejust 1601

This is a beauty.

A really lovely vintage Datejust, and the vertical brushed dial is what makes this one stand out.

The combination of that clean silver dial with its vertical brushing, applied baton markers and sharp black hands gives it a wonderfully understated look. Then you get the classic 18k white gold fluted bezel, the Cyclops date and, of course, the Jubilee bracelet.

This is the quintessential vintage Datejust: 36mm, elegant, incredibly wearable and unmistakably Rolex.

The vertical brushing on the dial catches the light beautifully and gives the watch much more character than a standard silver dial. It has that very typical early-70s Datejust feel that I absolutely love.

Serial 3430XXX, dating this example to approximately 1972.
