Technical background

Reference 16013 was introduced in the late 1970s as the two-tone successor to earlier acrylic Datejust models. It features the robust Rolex caliber 3035 with quickset date, sapphire crystal, and a screw-down Twinlock crown—marking an important step in the modernisation of the Datejust line while retaining its timeless design language.
