Rolex oyster perpetual datejust 1603 LAVANDER dial With Box

Watches like this beautiful 1603 are called proper vintage watches. Perfect cross over between casual oyster and dress watch. 

What we have here is one of the rarest dials out there. A lavender dial.

How exactly these watches develop their purple hue is not entirely clear to us but what we have noticed is that these only come up on 1603's and only in the last part of the 60's/ First years of the 70's.

 is sold with a period correct rolex box. We do believe this is in fact the original one.

To note: 

There is a small circular scratch around the hour markers. During a previous service the hour hand has been pressed a little too deep. It is not always visible since it truly is a light scratch but we prefer to mention this.
