Collectors favorite #3: The One True Watch

In this weeks post of our collectors favorite series we have a man with a mission. The mission to make pictures of his incredibly cool watches on tree branches. A great photographer, a family man and most importantly a man with love for watches. Make sure that after you read this post you follow him for your daily dose of coolness. We are proud to present to you: @theonetruewatch
Who are u?( IG/ personal name)
Chuck aka @theonetruewatch

What was your first watch?
My first watch was actually my Great Uncle’s Vintage Omega. I was six years old at the time and my Grandma let me have it. I held on to it for a whole week before my Pops figured out that a six year old shouldn’t own an Omega. It got passed around through the family and finally came back to me 24 years later.

What is your favorite watch in your collection?
On the record? The Junghans Max Bill.

What is your all-time favorite aka holy grail watch?
Oh, man. There are so many, a Breitling Navitimer, a Panerai Luminor, a Langhe 1815. But for right now, it’s the Rolex Yachtmaster, reference 268622.

Do you have a watch incoming or are you on the hunt for one?
Right now, I’m saving up to put a Rolex Explorer (ref. 114270) back in my collection.

( editors note: Exp 1's are the best one watch collection watch ever.)
Best watch related advice for any other collector?
I’ve heard a lot of advice around the community about not making certain mistakes when buying / selling your first watches. Forget it. How else are yougoing to figure out what works for youor not?

How did u get into watches?
It was that vintage Omega. I didn’t stand a chance.

Do you regret selling a particular watch? (optional)
My first Rolex Explorer. My family of two was expecting a third, our baby girl. I had to get the funds to make damn sure we were financially set and stable before she came into this world. I don’t regret it for a second.

Favorite strap in the Perpetualwatchlover collection?
The minimal stitch-honey brown strap. Hands down.
